Canine parainfluenza virus belongs to the family Paramyxoviridae, genus Paramyxovirus. Canine parainfluenza virus can infect dogs of all ages and breeds, but is more severe in puppies.
This kit detects canine parainfluenza virus antigen in canine oral, nasal and pharyngeal secretions, and is used for screening and auxiliary diagnosis of canine parainfluenza virus infection.
This product uses rapid immunochromatography technology to detect canine parainfluenza virus antigen in canine oral, nasal and pharyngeal secretions. If CPIV antigen was present in the sample, it would specifically bind to the recombinant protein labeled with colloidal gold to form a complex that moved along the chromatographic membrane and was captured by CPIV antibody coated on the membrane, showing a wine red line on the detection line (T). If the CPIV antigen is not present in the sample, no visible line is formed at the T position. No matter the result is negative or positive, the C line should be colored, otherwise the result is invalid.
Negative: In the test window, only one fuchsia-colored line appear next to “C”.
Positive: In the test window, two distinct colored lines appear next to “T” & “C” simultaneously.
Invalid: No color line visible next to “C”.
NOTE: Invalid test results can be caused by various reasons and should be re-tested.
