Feline infectious peritonitis can cause chronic progressive lethal infectious disease in felines. This kit detects feline infectious peritonitis antigen in feline feces or vomit and is used for screening and auxiliary diagnosis of feline infectious peritonitis.
This product uses a rapid immunochromatographic technique for the detection of feline infectious peritonitis antigens in feline feces or vomit. If there was FIP antigen in the sample, it would specifically bind to the recombinant protein labeled with colloidal gold to form a complex that moved along the chromatographic membrane and was captured by the FIP antibody coated on the membrane, showing a wine red line on the detection line (T). If the FIP antigen is not present in the sample, no visible line is formed at the T position. No matter the result is negative or positive, the C line should be colored, otherwise the result is invalid.
Negative: In the test window, only one fuchsia-colored line appears next to “C”.
Positive: In the test window, two distinct colored lines appear simultaneously next to “T” & “C”.
Invalid: no color line visible next to “C”.
NOTE: Invalid test results can be caused by various reasons and should be re-tested.
