Intended Use of the Canine Adenovims TypeⅡ Antigen Test Kit

Canine Adenovims TypeⅡ belongs to the genus Adenovirus and causes symptoms of infectious cough bronchitis and pneumonia in dogs.
This kit is used to detect canine adenovirus typeⅡantigen in the secretions from the eyes, nose and oral of canine, and is used for screening and auxiliary diagnosis of canine adenovirus typeⅡ infection.

Test principle of the CAVⅡ-Ag Test Kit

This product uses rapid immunochromatography technology to detect canine adenovirus typeⅡ antigen in the secretions from the eyes, nose and oral of dogs. After the diluted sample was dropped into the sample well, if there was CAVⅡ antigen in the sample, it would specifically bind to the recombinant protein labeled with colloidal gold to form a complex that moved along the chromatographic membrane and was captured by the CAVⅡ antibody coated on the membrane, showing a wine red line on the detection line (T). "If there is no CAVⅡ antigen in the sample, no visible line will be formed at the T position." No matter the result is negative or positive, the C line should be colored, otherwise the result is invalid.

Sample Requirements

1. Please refer to the instructions for use
2. This kit is only suitable for testing feline whole blood or serum samples (hemolysis and hyperlipidemia samples cannot be used).
3. Collect fresh samples and immediately put into the extraction buffer solution, which should be detected as soon as possible within 1 hour.
4. If samples were not timely detected, store within 24 hours at 2-8°C and store within 1 month at -20°C.

Product Performance Indifelineors

1. Sensitivity ≥ 95%.
2. Specificity ≥ 97.5%.
3. Precision: no more than one false negative and false positive results within the batch; the test lines & control line (cards) between three lots shall be uniform, and no more than one time of color difference between lots.
4. Stability: valid for 24 month if unopened & store 2-30°C.

Interpretation of Results

Negative: In the test window, only one fuchsia-colored line appear next to “C”.
Positive: In the test window, two distinct colored lines appear next to “T” & “C” simultaneously.
Invalid: No color line visible next to “C”.

NOTE: Invalid test results can be caused by various reasons and should be re-tested.
